“Steps to the Resurrection” Byzantine Music Concert

“Steps to Resurrection” is an incursion into spirituality and history, a journey into the depths of the soul, which Maria Coman and her guests invite you to take part in on April 7, 2025, at the Bucharest National Opera.

The event reveals the significance and value of classical, Byzantine and symphonic music, as well as theatrical art in understanding the meaning of the Resurrection celebration from a Christian point of view, creating the premise of an evening full of life and meaning.

Maria Coman, already appreciated for her special Byzantine musical interpretations, will be accompanied, with the blessing of His Holiness Nicodim, Bishop of Severin and Strehaia, by the Kinonia Male Choir, a choir that this year celebrates two decades of uninterrupted activity, by the Bucharest National Opera Orchestra and Choir, under the baton of master conductor Daniel Jinga, as well as by the Three Tenors from Iași.

At the same time, the well-known actors Magda Catone and Silviu Biriș will complete the evening with moments full of emotion, the entire evening being harmonized by the unmistakable presence of the beloved Liana Stanciu.
